The hospital ship M / S Jutlandia sailed from the quay at Langelinie on January 23, 1951 with a direction towards Korea.
The crew of Danish seamen, doctors and nurses insisted at the encounter with the war to also treat the civilian victims on board. The decision helped to set a new agenda for international humanitarian efforts. The mission still has a big place in the Danish historical consciousness.
